Stena Recycling is Sweden's leading recycling company and is a key partner in the PURESCRAP project. Stena has business not only in Sweden but also in Norway, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland, Italy and the US. In Europe the 178 recycling facilities employ more than 3500 people. Stena work with more than 100 000 customers, and recycle more than 6 million tones of complex waste material annually.
Role in the project
Stena plays an active and crucial part in the research process. Stena Hallstahammar is the site where the scrap purification and valorization will take place. The test sites and for shredded and cut scrap will be built here and the sensors will be incorporated in the purification process of the mixed metal scrap.
